Bellingham Parks and Rec will be working at Lowell Park in Fairhaven to remove invasive holly and ivy (sounds a bit like removing Christmas, doesn't it?). These plants cause havoc in the park's overall ecosystem and need to go (we'll bless them as they leave!). Gloves, tools, and instruction will be provided, and it's only two hours so you've got a lot of Saturday to play, work, run errands, etc.
From the B'ham Parks and Rec website: Work site is one block east of Highland Drive between Taylor and Easton. We will meet at the end of 19th St. Parking is limited so please ride a bike or walk. Some parking on 19th & Easton Streets.
