Echoes will be heading to the annual Stommish Water Festival! This year they have lined up well-known Winona LaDuke to discuss the impact that energy development can have on North American communities. LaDuke is the Executive Director of Honor the Earth, which seeks to "to create awareness and support for Native environmental issues and to develop needed financial and political resources for the survival of sustainable Native communities. Honor the Earth develops these resources by using music, the arts, the media, and Indigenous wisdom to ask people to recognize our joint dependency on the Earth and be a voice for those not heard."
We'll be carpooling as much as possible for this event, so contact us for rideshare coordination.
Event coordinators appreciate those attending to register beforehand.
Location is the Wex Liem House @ 2100 Lummi View Drive at the Lummi Indian Nation.
