Echoes gathers every Monday evening! There is also at least one service project/month, scheduled on the 3rd Sat of the month. As with all Echoes events, anyone is welcome to join! Most Monday gatherings are located at the WHATCOM LAND TRUST, but click on the event just to make sure.

Our gathering rhythm is:

1st Monday: worship

2nd Monday: dinner + listening

3rd Monday: worship

3rd Saturday: service project/volunteer (making B'ham better for all!)

4th Monday: theology pub (Greene's Corner, until further notice)

5th Monday -if there is one- flexible fifth (all kinds of cray cray)

Movie Night @ Terra ("Dear White People")

Terra (formerly known as Terra Organica) has expanded greatly! A bonus in the expansion is a useful community room, where we'll be meeting for Echoes this week. A great benefit of meeting in a grocery store is the ability to grab a snack for the gathering.

And snacks will be advisable since we're going to have a movie night! Enlightening discussion will follow.

Terra is located at the corner of Cornwall and Flora/York (@ 1530 Cornwall). The community room is located in the corner of the store, diagonally opposite to the entrance.

MOVIE: Dear White People

"Winner of the 2014 Sundance Film Festival's Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Talent, Dear White People is a sly, provocative satire of race relations in the age of Obama. Writer/director Justin Simien follows a group of African American students as they navigate campus life and racial politics at a predominantly white college in a sharp and funny feature film debut that earned him a spot on Variety's annual "10 Directors to Watch." It's rated R (for language, sexual content and drug use).
