1st Monday: Dinner + Listening

Our evening will start with a community potluck. If you have it, bring some food to share. Tonight is true potluck, bring a bit extra of whatever you want to eat! If you're out of food or don't have the chance to grab something, still come!

After rave reviews, this will be our second installment of "Reflective Response," where everyone reads a passage and then shares how they responded to the text. We'll be engaging in this after dinner.

This isn't meant to be a back-and-forth over how we differ in our views, or what the "best" understanding might be, but simply an offering of what we have experienced as a result of reading this particular text.

A response could be in words, in music, in poetry, in art, in drama, in prayer, in a diagram, or maybe even a meme. Bring what you have felt and/or thought and share with the group...no rebuttals, just listening, honoring, and attending to each other. There is no requirement to speak; if you'd rather be quiet that is perfectly legit. It could be difficult, but try to keep the length to less than ten minutes.

Responses will not be discussed or criticized; this will be an opportunity to hear and receive others thoughts as personal response without challenging or dissecting anyone's experience.

If you don't get a chance to prepare a response you can come and benefit from others responses. At the end we will leave room for anyone who has' in the moment' reflective thoughts on the passage.
