We now have a regular gathering place at Whatcom Land Trust's building, and we hope to be good tenants. This Monday we're going to achieve two things at once: beautify the area around the building, and create a healthier ecosystem.
How, you ask?
"By picking up trash!", we reply with enthusiasm.
We'll be working within a block radius. Since it's in the civic center of town things already look pretty good, we'd just like to help make it a bit better. The brave will work on Whatcom Creek, which is always in need of compassionate care.
We'll have trash pickers, gloves, and trash bags loaned to us, so you shouldn't have to bring any equipment other than maybe some closed-toe shoes.
Location is the Whatcom Land Trust, at 412 N Commercial (right next to City Hall).
