Annual Echoes Retreat

Keeping up our tradition of doing church a bit differently, Echoes doesn't invite a speaker to our annual retreat. Instead we enjoy the opportunity to hear from one another and learn about our lives. Last year's retreat took us all by storm - it was surprising how meaningful and important the weekend was to each of us. We're trying to not have expectations that this year's retreat will be as fantastic, but we are surely hoping so. Count on laughter, depth, good food, and quality time with good people.

Like most retreats the schedule includes meals, group time, and some down time. There is a kitchen on-site, and we take turns preparing and cleaning up the meals (food sensitivities are taken into account). During down time it's possible to get out for a walk (solo or with others), play games, read, nap, or ?

Our facility is the 11 bed Lakewood Lodge (a house, really) at Lutherwood, on Lake Samish. Being a twenty minute drive from Bellingham, it's easy to commute here if one does not want to sleep at the lodge.

Cost is on a sliding scale, but in general it's approximately $60 for those sleeping at the lodge, and $50 for commuters. This includes meals, starting with dinner on Friday and ending with lunch on Sunday. (We invite those who can contribute a bit more to do so in order to help reduce the expense for others.)

This is a great way to get to know the Echoes community in a short time-span. Please feel free to join us for this meaningful weekend. If you'd like more information just send us a message and we'll try to answer any questions you may have.
