This Saturday we will be doing something different than working to preserve our County's ecosystem! Instead we'll be helping children who are entering the foster care system. This is a great opportunity to support our community, and the excellent work of Skookum Kids.
From the event's description on Facebook: The Bellingham Sock Monkey Project provides sock animals to children in our community who are about to enter the foster care system. The monkey/puppy/kitty is given fully dressed with a homemade backpack containing a pair of pajamas made with love to children who find a soft landing at Skookum Kids, an emergency home for children in need. Regardless of your sewing skill level we will have a job for you at the workshop! From stuffing, hand sewing, machine sewing, embroidery face work, cutting backpacks from a pattern - it's a fun filled event! Coffee, tea and lunch provided.
The Location is 429 E Laurel Rd, Bellingham, WA 98226.
