Dinner & Listening: Video Series

Generally once a month Echoes enjoys a potluck, and we all get to practice some listening. Our very name embodies a form of listening (echoes reverberate - you either hear or feel them), so we want to be good listeners. Specifically we'd like to be better at listening to others, to God, and to our local communities. At these dinner gatherings we often listen to a speaker, discuss a relevant topic, or engage in an interesting listening exercise.

Since it went so well this summer, we’ve decided to have a longer series that focuses on videos from the sold-out conference, "Why Christian?" It's a good question in these times - why would anyone want to align with the institution of church? During dinner we'll watch the video, then take some time to discuss is a group. The talks are excellent, and help to feed the head and heart.

Dinner is super casual, just bring a little extra of whatever you'd like to eat. A few people are vegetarian, a few are gluten free. We figure it out. And if you are unable to bring some extra eats, then no worries, please do come anyway!

Location is at the Whatcom Land Trust.
