The Filling Station (weather is cancelling the labyrinth!)

WEATHER UPDATE: because it’s raining and super windy, we’re going to skip the labyrinth portion and head straight to The Filling Station. See you there!

It’s getting close to winter solstice; the day of the year with the least amount of daylight. This can be a profound time to acknowledge where we need the darkness and where we need the light, both personally and in our larger communities.

This Monday evening we’ll be walking the labyrinth at Fairhaven Park. For some this exercise in slowing down is an excellent opportunity for reflection and peacefulness. Walking a labyrinth when it’s dark outside adds a unique characteristic.

Afterwards we’ll gather at the Filling Station to talk about our experience in the labyrinth, and discuss what thoughts and feelings this season brings up for us.

ALL. ARE. WELCOME.

LOCATIONS:

  • Fairhaven Park Labyrinth is in the upper part of the park. When you go in the entrance from Chuckanut Drive (107 Chuckanut Dr N), drive past the playground and park in the upper parking lot. The labyrinth is located at this exact dropped pin.

  • The Filling Station is also in Fairhaven (1138 Finnegan Way)

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Clothes for whatever weather we’ll have!

  • Flashlight (preferably one with a red light option, if you’ve got one)

  • An open heart and spirit
