"The Bible is a collection of books that includes codes of law, compilations of proverbs, hymns and songs, history, poetry, letters and visions across roughly 2,000 years of human history.

Come join us on Tuesdays as we explore the Bible informally with one another. Experts and beginners, introverts and extroverts, optimists and doubting Thomases are all welcome!

We will journey each week with a section of the Old Testament book of Isaiah, sometimes called the “fifth gospel.” Our approach to navigating the text will be based on the Benedictine practice of Lectio Divina, or “Divine Reading.” We begin by reading the text aloud, spend some time in quiet to savor what we hear, and then share what stood out for us from the reading.

Our first meeting is Tuesday February 12th at 3:00PM @ St. John’s Lutheran Church (2530 Cornwall Ave, Bellingham, WA.)
