This year the monumental canoe journey has its destination at Lummi Nation. Tens of thousands of visitors and relatives will flock to this 5,000 person-strong nation. One of the honored traditions is gift-giving, and Lummi, as the host nation, has a LOT of gifts to give.

This gift that we’ll be helping to work on is a cloth tote bag. No sewing experience is necessary! Most of the work is cutting out patterns. This project is ongoing; we’ll be joining in on work that has already been underway for some time.
