Join Echoes and our Puget Sound Collaborators for a special Easter Vigil on Zoom!

Whether you look forward to Easter Vigil every spring, have never heard of the Easter Vigil, or are somewhere in between, we hope you will join us for a collaborative Virtual Easter Vigil on Saturday, April 3 at 7pm.  Come and enjoy the evening with friends from University Lutheran (Seattle), Emmaus Table (Seattle), and Echoes (Bellingham)! Much of the Easter Vigil is hearing stories from the Hebrew Bible that chronicle God’s deliverance of God’s people. We invite you to bring a candle so together we can share in the light that comes from the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The link for tonight’s service is here or can be found on Echoes Facebook Page.

A bulletin for the service can be found here
(not necessary but if you would like to follow along!)

The service will be recorded and put on Facebook after the event has finished.

Thank you to everyone in our community who participated in making our videos!

There are multiple ways to participate!

  • Join us on zoom for worship! (bring a candle)

  • We invite you to join the Easter Vigil as a storyteller.  Depending on your preference, you can work alone, with members of your family (all ages encouraged to participate) gather a group of friends...whatever works for you!

  • We encourage you to get creative. Share a piece of art that relates to the story. Offer a dramatic re-enactment. Supplement a dramatic reading with sound effects and/or music. Perform or share a related song and/or write new lyrics to tell the story. Puppet show, stuffed animal show, interpretive dance...the possibilities are endless!

  • Echoes is lighting the Easter Vigil fire, and sharing in two stories that we will make videos for. If you would Can you take some video clips of nature things, specifically Videos of water, streams, creeks, bays, waves and signs of spring: shoots, buds, trees, crocuses, daffodils. It would be helpful if the clips are at least 30 seconds long.

Please send videos to us by Tuesday, the 23rd email to info@echoesbellingham.org

Email info@echoesbellingham.org or tech@universitylutheranseattle.org and we’ll send you the zoom link and any other instructions closer to the event.
