Indoor Church returns for our monthly liturgical gathering online!
We will share in a Land Acknowledgement, Scripture, Reflection, Communion, Song and Prayer.
Worship & meditation with the words & stories of Jewell & Doug James, Lummi House of Tears carvers
We are looking forward to sharing the video we made with Se Sealth, Jewell Praying Wolf James, and Sit ki kadem, Douglas James, of the House of Tears Carvers at Lummi Nation. Together they share wisdom and stories regarding the spirituality of carving totem poles and embarking on the journeys to take them across North America. Their words form the basis for this video that allows the viewer to connect with God, reflect upon one's own actions, and move toward positive action. We will have time for reflection after viewing this video together!
(Many, many thanks for their generosity in sharing their experiences and thoughts, and for allowing this video to be made and published online.)
Our Indoor Church services feature communion, because we believe in a big wide open table for everyone. You are invited to bring a beverage (juice, wine, water, tea etc.) and a carbohydrate (cracker, bread, tortilla, cookie etc.) We will bless and eat the communion elements in our home, so please use whatever you already have, no need for a special trip.
Email info@echoesbellingham.org for the Zoom link.
This is our most formal worship service of the month, so please join us for other gatherings including: Wild Church, Pub Church, Creative Church, Service Church & ‘Hamster Church (our interview style gathering!)
