Wild Church gathers outdoors for a sunset beach worship & wandering experience!
We will gather at Little Squalicum Park (and walk down to Little Squalicum Beach) to get closer to the gorgeous watershed where the stream meets the Salish Sea. Wild Church is an opportunity for us to develop spiritual practices that draw us deeper into relationship with the sacred in our own untamed hearts, in our watershed and with our undomesticated God. The sun sets at 9:17pm, so we will have plenty of light to seek the sacred near the sea.
Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather. Bring a short chair, a blanket, journal or other creative materials that will help you have a conversation with nature.
Little Squalicum Park: 640 Marine Dr. Bellingham, WA 98225
The parking lot is located above the park and will be where we gather until 6:40pm, then we will walk down to the beach together. The trail is accessible and walkable, but will include up to .75 miles walking, please plan accordingly. We highly recommend bringing a chair if you cannot stand for long periods of time.
From ancient times it has been widely acknowledged that there are Two Books from which we can know God: Scripture and Nature. Echoes is affiliated with The Wild Church Network, and engages in the practice of outdoor worship with Wild Church once a month.
