We’ll gather on zoom (and in person) for a special Service Church to write letters and cards to folks who need it the most! If you’re in person we’ll provide the cards (and mailing) for you to send notes of encouragement and hope to children and families seeking asylum this holiday season.

Since September 2021, LIRS (Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service) and our network has welcomed tens of thousands of new American individuals and families seeking safety, including Afghans and Ukrainians. Our new neighbors have persevered through incredible challenges to get here—and while many are no longer in immediate danger, they are still navigating life in their new communities and the legal challenges of their parole or asylum status. Many have not been or will not be able to reunite with their families. This holiday season, your messages of hope and love, along with your generous donations to purchase gifts for the children in LIRS’s care, remind our friends that they are not forgotten.

At Echoes we believe that loving ALL our neighbors is a way follow God, and Service Church indeed counts as worship. So if you want to come write cards of hope with us in person, or online, please join us!
