Celebrate Earth Day with NSEA and the Whatcom Land Trust as we begin restoration at a new site along California Creek.
All ages and abilities are welcome. Parking is available at Birch Bay Waterslides at 4874 Birch Bay Lynden Rd, Blaine – look for the blue NSEA tent! Masks are optional during the event, but they are required for the short shuttle ride from the parking area to the restoration site. Additional information and reminders will be emailed to registered participants.
After you park, just check in at our sign-in tent, and then we will then set you up with a small group leader that will demonstrate what we are working on and answer any questions you may have. NSEA will provide all necessary materials including:
tools
gloves
instructions
restrooms
light refreshments
Since we will be planting, layers and water-resistant clothing and shoes is recommended. Anyone under 18 years old must bring a Youth Liability Waiver completed and signed by a parent or guardian. An adult must also accompany any volunteer under 14 years old.
Registration is not required, but if you want to skip the line and make checking in easier then every volunteer should login to their VolunteerHub account and sign up separately for the work party.
