"The summer night is like a perfection of thought."
- Wallace Stevens
Summer Solstice is upon us and its time for a Wild Church gathering!
Help us honor the changing seasons on the longest day of the year (in the northern hemisphere). On this evening we’ll gather for story, song, prayer, wandering & wondering along Locust Beach before the sun sets.
All are invited to this solstice gathering, with the majority of our time spent in wild wandering. When we allow ourselves to listen to the land, to the spirit, to our hearts and one another, community is formed and the sacred is acknowledged. Come and let your soul soar into summer by letting go of that which must be left in the seasons of the past and embracing this time of summer (and sun).
This is an ALL WEATHER event, so please dress accordingly.
Location: Locust Beach - 3199 Locust Avenue, Bellingham, WA 98225
We’ll gather in the parking lot of Locust Beach until 6:45pm and then walk down to the beach together! If you are arriving late, when heading to the beach, head towards the right/north after you go down the stairs (under the railroad tracks).
Please bring what you need to be comfortable & dress for changing weather (layer recommended). Since this is a rocky beach, good sturdy shoes are encouraged! If the weather permits, we will have a small/safe solstice fire.
Email Pastor Emma if you have any questions or would like to join us emma@echoesbellingham.org
