We’ll honor Pride month/season with a special Pride Movie Church!
Come for snacks, popcorn and a special pride documentary that helps us honor the history of why its important to celebrate ALL of God’s beloved children.
We will be watching the PBS documentary “Stonewall Uprising” from PBS American Experience series.
“When police raided the Stonewall Inn, a popular gay bar in the Greenwich Village section of New York City on June 28, 1969, the street erupted into violent protests that lasted for the next six days. The Stonewall riots, as they came to be known, marked a major turning point in the modern gay civil rights movement in the United States and around the world.”
It is important to know your history and celebrate the “third spaces” that make space for everyone. Come and watch with Echoes!
We will also use this time to work on assembling our Pride Zine! Just come for some relaxed and comfortable community that seeks to be a place for authenticity and wholeness.
