November usually becomes quite dreary. Fight the drear by giving back to the land, working side-by-side with fellow community members who are concerned for the land, and loving on baby trees. Volunteering like this is one way that Echoes can love God, and love others (the planet itself qualifies as an "other"!).

This is a joint work party hosted by the Whatcom Land Trust (WLT) and the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA). 

Location is at WLT’s 311-acre Catalyst–Riverstead property on the South Fork Nooksack River near Acme.

Directions: Go east on Mt. Baker Highway (SR 542). Turn right (south) on Highway 9 (SR 9) and head south to Acme and follow for 7 miles. Turn right onto Turkington Rd. Parking and shuttles are located at the Acme Elementary school.
