Bellingham Parks and Rec and RE Sources are teaming up to do a clean-out of invasive species at Little Squalicum Park. We're chipping in, too!
It's only two hours, but it is staggering how much can be accomplished in only two hours when a bunch of people are on hand. Gloves, tools, and know-how will be provided.
Park in the Bellingham Technical College parking lot and follow the signs. Dress appropriately as it might be a bit rainy, and the plants might be a bit thorny.
BONUS: Join some of us afterward for a free movie! The Bellingham Human Rights Film Festival is showing Return of the River at the Fairhaven library at 1pm. The movie is about the largest dam removal project ever in the U.S. The Elwha River Dam had supporters and detractors, both of whom get air time in this critically acclaimed film.
