Easter Walk, place-based event

This is a fantastic, unique place-based Easter experience. Graduate-level classes have traveled to Bellingham to go on this walk, and 'hamsters can enjoy it this Sunday.

During this event we explore some of the history of Bellingham - who was here first, how it was settled, what happened in the region of Whatcom Creek and Maritime Heritage Park - and how these stories dovetail with the arrest, death, and resurrection of Jesus. It's memorable and meaningful, a unique way to experience Easter.

We'll start in front of City Hall at 4:30pm, then walk along Whatcom Creek, ending up in Maritime Heritage Park. There are some stairs and a bit of uneven ground; it is about 1/2 mile one-way. The walk takes 45min-1 hour, and participants are invited to read selected readings (no pressure).

No church experience, church affiliation, or love of church required!! All really are welcome.

Additional Opportunity: if you'd like to practice resurrection on Easter, join Echoes for their annual work party in Maritime Heritage Park from 2-4pm. Facebook event here.
